Lunch time!

Murals & Design is also a vinyl sign shop. We do mostly banners, election signs, street signs and window lettering. We occasionally get commissioned for larger projects like the one in today's post.

Minja's Lunchbox in Dallas, Texas wanted a new and updated look for their thriving, "breakfast and lunch only" diner. They are open Monday through Friday and cater to the downtown working crowd.

I have shown you the before, fine tuning at the shop, and finished installed product. We changed the name to Minja's Bistro and chose a retro style with bold shapes. We played off of the existing red wall to get the best contrast of color for visibility. I was fortunate to find a rather large 3-D cup of "jo" which we added "Minja's Bistro" lettering to give it a customized look. We cut the twenty inch tall knife out of expanded pvc, which is also the substrate for the entire sign.

Many hours of planning and designing went into this sign but the transformation was amazing. As Emeril would say, "bamb!" We "kicked Minja's Bistro up a notch!" She even raised her prices!

So what will you have for lunch today? Chicken salad or taco's?

That's all for now but as always...

Have a colorful day!
